Candyland Sweet - Mvt. 1 - Lord Licorice

Candyland Sweet (intentionally misspelled from the musical term Suite) is a 4 movement work that depicts various characters and locations found in the Board Game of the same name.  Candyland was first published in 1949 and while gameplay has remained the same, the characters and locations found throughout the fictional territory have changed slightly.  

Movement 1 of Candyland Sweet is based on Lord Licorice and Licorice Castle.  Lord  Licorice is seen as the villain of the board game, causing mischief and doing his best to slow you down and prevent you from finding King Kandy.  Lord Licorice is one of the original characters that has been a part of every version of the Board Game.
